“Let me share just one sentence which describes my situation and the situation in my country. We are literally living in Andor right now. This country is called Georgia, but we are living in Andor.” - Lanka Lagvilava
Spoilers through Andor Season Two, Episode 6.
This is the second of a series of weekly podcast episodes recapping Andor Season Two. In this episode, my friend Joseph and I are joined by a special guest, Lanka Lagvilava, a friend and Star Wars fan from Tbilisi, Georgia. Before we recap Chapter II (episodes 4 -6), we discuss how we personally connect to the characters and situations in the story overall. While Joseph and I (luckily) struggle to personally connect to situations of fighting tyranny in our own lives, we are fortunate to hear from Lanka, whose country is, unfortunately, under harsh political pressure from Russia. She tells us what she loves about Andor and how the events and characters in the story mirror those of her life in Georgia.
Then we get into some of our highlights from Chapter Two, Episodes 4 - 6, followed by a bigger picture look at the major conflicts and themes that seem to be taking shape.
